quillpunk: Batman smirking (batman1)

And I am now finally getting around to writing this post, LOL.

So after completing my goal to write 6k words every week in November, I said my goal for December was 7k words every week.

And... I did it! XD

Yep, yep, I wrote 7k words every week. It was surprisingly doable? I thought it'd be more difficult because that's an average of 1k words/day, which, you know, that's a lot, but it didn't feel any different than 6k words/week. I even managed to finish the goal on a Saturday once, which made me feel like Superman.

In total I wrote 31k words in December. This is the first time since NaNoWriMo November 2022 (I won that one! The only time I've won outside camp!) that I've written more than 30k words in a month. That's very cool!

Something I noticed that I thought was interesting is that I wrote 22 days in November, and I wrote 23 days in December; ie the higher wordcount didn't make me write more days, I just wrote more on the days I was writing. We'll see what happens in January, LOL—I'm kind of curious now 👀

Success in December means my goal for January is now 8k words every week. I'm already fairly far into this month, but I ain't spilling the beans 'til it's over, LMAO. (I just don't like talking about a goal that's in progress.)

But also!

In 2023 I was signed up to [community profile] inkingitout with a 200k word goal. I met this goal! :D I ended the year with 210k words written in total which is just. How? I do not understand. I do not comprehend.

That's so weird.

But also really cool, not gonna lie.
